​A journey of fashion that has spanned a lifetime. As a child I was forever draping fabrics and sewing for the love of it. This spurred a love of that inspired me to first study textile design and then switch to a college to obtain a degree in Fashion. Quickly into my fashion degree journey I became jaded with the industry as a whole. Not only the fast paced fickle nature but all that the world of fashion promoted, unhealthy living from the models who wore them to  the beginning of 'fast fashion' cheap and super costly to the health of our wellbeing and the world. 

I completed my studies and left that world behind to travel and live in India for several years, studying ancient philosophies, Ayurveda, exploring temples and creating collections from recycled silk saris and natural sustainable materials. Yet the fast pace, wasteful nature of the industry continued to feel unaligned  and I ventured into a world of Holistic Interior design and lifestyle which enabled me to practise a slower more mindful kind of all encompassing design. 

20 years later at a time when the world is starting to finally catch on to the nature of the impacts of fast fashion on our health and the of the planets  -slow fashion takes a pride of place in our world. A return to honouring quality, natural materials with classic designs that naturally through their quality offer a longevity in your wardrobe and return to the earth in natural state at the end of their life. 

And so I'm here for it. That coupled with the new science that is the old wisdom of the frequency of fabrics and their effect on our health in a positive way is something that inspires my desire to promote and celebrate this kind of slow fashion for the benefit of all.

Because fashion shouldn't cost the earth.
