Creating spaces has been something I’ve been deeply passionate about for as long as I can remember. For the past decade, I have been cultivating and integrating my own lifestyle of holistic, sustainable living alongside my interior design practice. As these both began manifesting more fully, there became a natural demand for my holistic Interior design services while working in my then retail store and brand, KAHAANI Collective.
The KAHAANI concept was born out of my long-lived love affair of hunting and gathering beautiful and unique textiles, furniture and homewares from around the world. The boutique sanctuary, located in Melbourne's bayside suburb of Elwood, had a reputation for the sense of beauty, calm and tranquillity that it evoked in those who entered the space. By collectively aligning with and sourcing products from local makers/artists and well-known interior wholesale brands and presenting these alongside my own carefully curated collections from India, Indonesia and Morocco, I achieved my ultimate in-store vision: to create a soulful and sacred space where customers could shop for unique artisan items made lovingly with hand and heart.
While at Kahaani, I consulted with clients both in store and out to help them navigate, curate and create their interior design projects. My love of helping people connect more deeply with their own innate and true essence through design and space was and is always a joyous unfolding. In April 2020 I closed the doors of KAHHANI to pursue my ultimate lifestyle on the Sunshine Coast and dedicate my time and energy to my interior design clients, my own creative projects and my passion: THE INTERIOR TEMPLE.
